Morcheeba – Who Can You Trust?

02Nov10

I’m not sure what it is about this album.  Taken individually, the songs are hit/miss.  Mostly good but there are a few that drag.  This album has to be listened to AS AN ALBUM.  I haven’t been able to put it down since August.  It’s rough listening to it on this lcd tv, the speakers aren’t nearly bass-heavy enough.  Overall a solid playthrough though, as a whole it comes off very pensive and seems to foster a similar sense of mind.  Goes well with hot hot dark coffee in the day, red wine or Mill St. Stock Ale at night (the occasional bottle of which I miss deeply, Chinese beer is good but it’s just not the same).

And yeah, the album art is pretty budget.  Also a little reminiscent of a tie-dye tshirt.  Don’t judge a book by its cover.
